A multi-line, import dealership in Imperial California is looking for the ideal candidate to fill an opening for an Automotive Controller. The ideal candidate will need to have a hand’s on and interactive management style as they work directly with the Executive Team on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will need to have the ability to accurately provide sales and expense analyses for improved profitability relative to monthly and annual forecasts.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Prepare a complete financial statement monthly according to dealership guidelines.
• Interpret the financial statement and the daily operating (DOC) regularly and informs dealer principal of developing trends.
• Must have the ability to use automotive accounting software such as CDK.
• Experience negotiating with financial institutions, and insurance companies.
• Meeting with department heads regularly to go over business matters and develop plans to increase profitability.
• Prepare short- and long-term financial forecasts for the dealership.
• Review the reconciliation of general ledger accounts to ensure proper bank reconciliation, reserve accounts, factory payables, floor plan payable, A/R, and A/P.
• Ability to teach, mentor, and lead the office staff.

Additional Requirements:

• Strong leadership, high character, strong work ethic.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Candidates must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and work flexible hours.
• Expert level knowledge with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word and is expected to familiarize themselves with additional accounting software programs if necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $100,000.00 per year

Supplemental Pay:

• Bonus pay

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• CDK: 1 year (Preferred)
• Automotive: 5 years (Preferred)
• Controller: 3 years (Preferred)
